New Video "Displaced" Coming February 24th

Disease Illusion presents their new music video for the track DISPLACED, set to debut on YouTube starting February 24th, 2025.

The video, produced by Alessandro Turco, brings the themes of the song to life, transporting viewers into a world ravaged by war and famine, telling the story of what's left behind.

In line with the apocalyptic vision of the lyrics, the video was entirely created through images and videos generated using artificial intelligence.

Using this technology to depict an image of a devastated Earth creates an intentional paradox: the reality shown in the video is itself a product of a system that replaces nature with synthetic elements, and reality with digital ones.

DISPLACED is the cry of a consumed planet, a requiem for what's been lost, and a warning for what may still be saved.

Fourth single No Ground out now

"No Ground" is a tribute to the memory of Ayşe Deniz Karacagil, a symbol of courage and resistance, known for her red scarf during the Gezi Park and Taksim Square protests in Istanbul. She represents the relentless fight for justice and freedom of expression. Arrested for her active role in the protests, her sentencing to 100 years in prison at just 25 underscores the severity of political repression not only in Turkey but in other oppressive regimes worldwide.

The song weaves together the struggles of activists imprisoned in Turkish jails, unjustly labeled as terrorists while fighting for fundamental human rights. Through the symbolism of Turkey’s emblematic resistance—evoking images of protesters defying tear gas to the battle against ISIS in Syria—"No Ground" tells a story of conflict that transcends national borders.

This single is a tribute to the resilience of Ayşe and all those who stand against injustice, including the Palestinian people resisting the oppressive and genocidal Israeli government. With No Ground, we emphasize the significance of the global struggle for human rights and justice, celebrating the indomitable spirit of those who fight for freedom.

"No Ground" is more than just a song; it is a declaration of solidarity, an anthem of the willpower of those who rise up and choose to fight oppression, keeping hope alive for a future where freedom of speech and action are no longer subject to draconian punishment.

In memory of Ayşe and all the unsung heroes of resistance, No Ground reaffirms that no oppressive force can silence humanity's determination for freedom.

Glass & Steel: the new single from Plastic Ocean

"Glass & Steel" was conceived as a reflection on the dynamics of contemporary society, exploring the contrast between the visible grandeur of human achievements and the hidden fragility of the very structures that surround us. Through the symbolic use of towers built from glass and steel—the tall, phallic buildings of capitalist society—we, Disease Illusion, critique humanity’s tendency to seek refuge in an illusory material security, distancing itself from the harsh realities of inequality and suffering that plague our world.

The core message of the song focuses on the urgent need to recognize and confront the consequences of our alienation and voluntary isolation. Oscillating between hope and despair, we envision a—perhaps utopian—collective awakening, a reevaluation of our priorities, and a renewed sense of shared responsibility toward social injustices.

It is, therefore, an invitation to look beyond the gleaming façades of modernity, to acknowledge the intrinsic value of humanity and the environment that surrounds us, overcoming our individual apathy, the pursuit of superficial solutions, or the search for scapegoats. The song emphasizes the urgency of action, highlighting how the time at our disposal is limited and how the choices we make today will shape the world of tomorrow.

In summary, "Glass & Steel" offers a profound reflection on the essence of the human condition in the 21st century, exposing the contradictions of a civilization that, despite its technological and material advancements, still faces fundamental issues of equity, connection, and survival.

Farewell to Davide Laugelli, Welcome to Giacomo Laurenti

Italian melodic death metal band Disease Illusion announces an important lineup change as longtime bassist Davide Laugelli departs and Giacomo "Jack" Laurenti officially joins the band. The transition will take place during the band's upcoming show on December 16 at Associazione Bunker, where Davide will make his final appearance on stage.

A Farewell to Davide Laugelli

After years of dedication and countless live performances, Davide Laugelli has decided to step down due to personal and professional commitments that no longer allow him to fully dedicate himself to the band. Despite his departure, he will share the stage one last time, playing select songs during the December 16 show before passing the torch to Giacomo "Jack" Laurenti.

Davide shared his thoughts on the transition:

"Unfortunately, in recent times, my many commitments have made it impossible for me to continue giving my best and fully enjoying my time with Disease Illusion. That’s why December 16 will be my last time on stage with the band. I won’t be playing the full set, as I want to leave space for my successor, but I will be there for a few songs. It will be an honor to share the stage with him, and I wish Jack, Joy, Federico, Alessandro, and Zoppy all the best as they continue this journey. Thank you all for these unforgettable years."

Welcoming Giacomo "Jack" Laurenti

With the departure of Davide, Disease Illusion is excited to introduce Giacomo "Jack" Laurenti as the band’s new bassist. His background, musicianship, and energy will bring fresh dynamics to the band's sound as they move forward. Fans will get to experience the new lineup live for the first time at Associazione Bunker on December 16.

"It’s never easy to say goodbye to a bandmate, especially someone as integral as Davide," said Disease Illusion in a collective statement. "He has been a part of our journey for so many years, and we are grateful for all the incredible memories. At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome Jack into the Disease Illusion family and can't wait to see what the future holds with him on board."

Don’t Miss the December 16 Show

Fans can catch Disease Illusion with both Davide Laugelli and Giacomo "Jack" Laurenti live on December 16 at Associazione Bunker for a special performance marking this transition. The event promises to be an emotional and powerful night, celebrating the band's past, present, and future.

Plastic Ocean: a new single for a new album

With a solid career that began in 2006, Disease Illusion—now spread across Italy, Denmark, and England—celebrate the release of PLASTIC OCEAN, the single marking the beginning of their third album. The track serves as a powerful metaphor, criticizing the state of our ecosystem by comparing it to a sea polluted by plastic, where, despite the adversity, we continue to swim.

PLASTIC OCEAN stands as a battle cry against ecological degradation, showcasing Disease Illusion’s raw lyrical power and musical craftsmanship. Produced by the renowned Giuseppe "Dualized" Bassi, the single mirrors the peril facing our oceans, pairing its critical message with the band's relentless sonic assault.

The single is available today on all major streaming platforms, following the release of its visually striking music video yesterday, which perfectly captures the essence of the track.

This single is just a taste of Disease Illusion's ambitious vision for death metal, with more details on the album and upcoming tour announcements arriving soon.
